Diane Janowski (b. Elmira, NY 1960) has been painting since her childhood. Working in a style that encompasses American realism and mid-century hopes and ideals, Janowski’s paintings are recollections.

Inspired by vintage postcards and 1960s Kodachrome slides of family vacations, Janowski brings a new eye to forgotten subjects. The process of painting them takes on new different dimension.

Janowski earned her BA in Studio Art at Elmira College, and studied toward an MFA in Sculpture. Janowski’s work has been recognized throughtout the US in solo and group shows.
